Walt is still heard yelling for his father, Mike is yelling back at WaltSawyer swims for a piece of floating debris. The gun is still in his left hand. He steers debris towards Mike using his good right armAfter Sawyer drags Mike onto some raft debris, he tries to revive him. He hits his chest 3 times before cut to hatchAt the hatch:The bright light turns off. Locke yells for KateLocke decides to lower himself into the hatchAt the raft:Sawyer hits Mike's chest 2 more times before he starts to administer CPR. Mike finally comes toFlashback:Mike is in a lawyer's office. The Twin Towers are visible in the backgroundMike's leg is still slightly injured from the accident. He is using a cane for assistance.Lawyer calls Mike ?Mr. Don (?)'. Mike corrects him, ?Dawson'Mike is wearing a vertically striped shirtLawyer indicates his practice isn't the most expensive. This is probably why Mike came to him.?This is Davis and Goliath. I got to ask you, are you sure you want to do this?'- Lawyer?They're not taking my son away'- MikeRaft:Mike continues to yell for Walt. He is losing his voice.Sawyer tells him it's pointless. Mike makes it clear to Sawyer he ?needs' to keep doing thisHatch:Locke enters the hatch and looks at the mirror on the floor of the hatchAs he enters, he has a look of joy and amazement on his faceThe mural on the wall is a little clearer:Next to the white head of the woman on the right side, is a picture of a black head, possibly maleLocke stops and takes off his shoes and rests them by the wall in the hallway. The floor is red. Does Locke do this to be polite or because he sees this place as sacred ground?He see the symbol of the yin yang swan on a dirty brown outlet boxLocke enters the living room and walks over to the table. He opens a blind revealing the artificial light source behind it. Kate is heard moaningLocke finds Kate?Behind you'- KateDes is behind Locke pointing the rifle at his head?Are you him?'- Des. He asks Locke twiceRaft:Sawyer calls out for JinSawyer is holding his left shoulderMike starts to blame Sawyer for Walt's abduction because Sawyer ?made' Mike fire the flare?Get off my raft'- Mike to SawyerSomething bumps the bottom of raft #1It appears to be a shark circling them. Mike notices Sawyer still has his gun.?I see you managed to hold on to your best friend there'- Mike. He tells him it won't work anymoreSawyer removes the clip and starts to take out the bullets to dry themThe shark bumps the raft again and Sawyer looses most, not all, of the bullets into the waterMike points out it's the blood from Sawyer's bullet wound that is attracting the shark?Well I'll just stop bleeding then'- SawyerSawyer asks for a ?thank you' for trying to save WaltMike tells him he was just trying to ?save his own *ss'Sawyer gets mad and starts heading for debris raft #2, he drags himself on the new raft?I was trying to save your d*mn kid'- SawyerFlashback:In the meeting room, there are 8 people present. Sue and 3 of her Lawyers, a stenographer, Mike and his lawyer and a bailiffSue's lawyer, Lizzy, asks Mike how long it has been since he has seen his son. It's been 14 monthsMike's lawyer tries to stop/control Mike's rant about Sue taking WaltLizzy brings up Sue paying for Mike's hospital bills?I'm his father'- MikeLizzy asks for Mike to repeat this again for the recordRaft:There is a full moon in the skySawyer attempts to take the bullet out by himselfAfter he very painfully pulls it out, ?you got a Band-Aid?'- SawyerIn the hatch:?Are you? As they walk, Locke notices prison time markings on a wall. Quick count seems to be around 60-70 at least (multiply by five). Locke puts Kate inside and closes the door.At the caves:Hurley asks Jack why he is going back to the hatch?I changed my mind'- JackAs Jack says this and walks away, the camera goes to Charlie, Claire, and AaronClaire asks ?what was that all about?'?I reckon Jack's going to do something heroic'- CharlieClaire rolls her eyes and questions why Charlie always tries to be funny when answering a questionClaire finds the Virgin Mary statue in Charlie's bagCharlie starts to freak out a bit about Claire's handling of it. He gives Aaron back to her to get it back in his possession?It might come in handy. I'd be a nice thing to have around'- CharlieRaft:Sawyer tells Mike the flare wasn't the reason they lost Walt. He starts to piece the clues togetherHe says at first he thought they were fisherman or pirates.A boat like that isn't meant for the ocean. It only has a range of 100 miles. He says is was from the island.Sawyer mentions how Danielle said ?the others' were coming for the kid?I think they came, Mike. He's the one they wanted'- SawyerSawyer calls the bearded ?other' BluebeardMike then asks Sawyer if he thinks it's his fault. They go back and forth bouncing blame off one anotherMike tells Sawyer never to say Walt's name again?Or what are you going to do? Splash me?'- SawyerMike ?splashes' him with a piece of bamboo. Sawyer's raft starts to fall apart. Sawyer swims and gets aboard Mike's raft. Mike has his back turned towards Sawyer?You have no idea what it's like to care for somebody else'- MikeFlashback:Mike enters the previously mentioned meeting room. Sue is there.Behind her is a model of a sailing ship, Black Rock type.Mike is wearing a vertically striped shirtSue tells Mike she thinks he is going to win the case and keep her in the country with Walt. She brings up Mike's talent as an artist to try and persuade him to let her have Walt?Walt is my responsibility too'- Mike?Then let him go'- SueSue asks him again to let him go. She gets some papers from her briefcase.In the hatch:Kate is tied up in a dark roomShe manages to wiggle her hands from behind her, underneath her legs to her frontShe uses the knife Locke slipped her to cut herself loose. She places the knife in between her knees, the blade facing away from her.After she frees herself she searches around for a light. She finds one and turns it on.Kate turns around and discovers a well supplied store room of foodAll of the cans and jars have the yin/yang swan symbol on themKate notices an air vent above her. While moving crates to get to the vent, she discovers a box of ?Apollo' candy bars. She grabs one and takes a bit. A look of ?total' satisfaction comes across KateShe grabs a couple of handfuls of the candy bars and puts them in her back pocketShe stacks 2 crates under vent and climbs up. With one blow, she uses her forearm to open the air ventShe climbs into the ventIn the hatch: living room areaLocke continues to tell Des about the plane crash. He sits at the table where he had earlier opened the shade. The shade is now back down but the blinds are open exposing the artificial light sourceDes has his rifle down and relaxed. He confirms with Locke they were on a flight from Sydney to LAX?So the world's still out there?' DesLocke asks his name, ?My name's Desmond'. ?Desmond, I'm John'Des asks how many there are. '43, but 4 sailed out this morning on a raft'- Locke?A raft?!'- Des. Des says this in a mocking way and he shakes his head. Does this imply he knows there is no leaving the island?Locke continues to ask Des about his confinement?How many of your group have gotten sick?'- Des. Locke doesn't know what he means?Sick, as in ill, as in dead'- DesLocke asks him about the ?quarantine' on the inside of the hatch. Des gets angry and tells Locke to answer the question. Locke then tells him no one is sickThe beeping from the computer is heard through the bunkers PA systemKate is now crawling through the vent, stops and hears the beepingDes asks Locke is he knows how to use the Apple computerLocke says he hasn't seen on of them in 20 yearsDes has Locke sit and type in the numbers. At number 15, Des stops and asks ?Did you hear that?', ?What?'- LockeLocke continues typing in the numbers as per Des request. Locke now knows the numbersAfter typing in the numbers Des tells Locke to press the ?execute' button. Locke is very reluctant to do this?What's gonna happen?'- Locke?Just push it!'- DesAfter Locke presses the ?execute' button, the dial flips back to its reset position. Locke looks on in total curiosityLocke tells Des Jack is their doctor?What's he doing here?'- Des?To be honest with you, I'm a little surprised to see him'- LockeDes focus's a hallway mirror towards Jack's hands?Your doctor has a gun brother'- DesDes moves over to the record player and puts on the musicKate stops in the vent upon hearing the musicShe moves towards a vent in the Thunder Dome where Jack is investigating. She yells for him 3 timesKate watches the Jack, Des, and Locke scene from the perspective of the ventDes's warning shot to Jack hits very near to where Kate is looking out from. She backs up a bit, looks back at the interaction and then she appears to be backing away as if to leave?You'- Jack. This time after he says this he re-aims the gun almost in anger.Raft:Sawyer sees the pontoon portion of the original raft. He tries to direct their raft towards it.Mike warns Sawyer he will is adding stress to the vines and the raft will break up if he continues. Sawyer continues and the raft breaks up on Sawyer's side.As Sawyer is in the water, he tells Mike he is going for the pontoonAn underwater shot shows Sawyer flopping around in the water and the shark swims underneath them. A symbol is on the underside of the shark's tail. It is similar to the yin/yang swan symbol on the red medicine cabinet. Instead of the yin/yang swan middle part, it is a black octagon with a line directly through it splitting the octagon into two separate sides. Black symbols surrounding it are similar, possibly the same, as the ones found in the hatchSawyer gives the gun to Mike and swims for the pontoon. The shark is getting closer and closer to SawyerMike sees the fin directly behind Sawyer. There are no visible marks on the shark's finMike's first shot is a *click*. He ***** the gun, a bullet is seen flying out of the chamber, and shoots 5 times at the shark just as it is upon SawyerIt looks like Mike shot the shark just behind the fin.Color of blood that shoots in the air after the shots are fired are a mix of red and green.Mike calls out for Sawyer. He starts to move the raft towards the pontoon. Sawyer hops up and clings onto the pontoon. They help each other onto their new boat.Flashback:Mike sits on a bench waiting for Sue and Walt. He has a bag with himWalt is wearing a horizontally striped shirt. There are no stripes on Mike's shirtMike has a hard time telling Walt he is his father. He instead takes the gift out of the bag. It's a stuffed white polar bear.?Does he like bears?'- Mike to SueMike says goodbye to Walt. He lets go.?I just want you to know that no matter where you go, I, that your daddy, yea, your daddy, he loves you very, very much and I always will. Always'- Mike's final words to Walt. In the end he finally feels comfortable identifying himself to Walt as his fatherHe gives Sue the bear to give to Walt somedayRaft:Mike is crying over the loss of Walt. Sawyer asks if he is ok.Mike tells Sawyer it was his own fault Walt is gone?I'm gonna get him back. I'm gonna get back my son'- MikeSawyer looks over and sees the current brought them back to the island?We're home'- SawyerAs they arrive on shore, they hear Jin yelling. Jin runs towards them with a piece of bamboo tied behind his back. He is yelling about the ?others'As Mike and Sawyer look to where Jin is looking, they see 5 people with primitive sticks with spikes attached, walking towards them.
