The dog slept in Jeanie's old room, on Jeanie's old bed and stayed with us until my mother passed 5 years later. At the end of the story he continues eye contact with Sawyer until Sawyer drops his stare and starts to look down. As this happens we see Locke give that odd ear to ear smile of his.
