Minute Details on Pilot, Part 1In the jungle:Jack wakes up, right eye opensVincent appears from Jack's left, after whimpering runs over Jack's head and over his right shoulder into the jungleThere are 2 scratches on both of Jack's cheeks. On the right side it is mid cheek. The other is on the left side closer to his eye.He stands up and pulls one single serving of clear alcohol out of his pocket with right handAfter looking at bottle, he starts to realize what may have happened.He starts to run through the woods towards the beach, slowly at first and then a full on runAs he runs, on his right side is a shoe hanging in the tree. Shoe is a white sneaker, right foot, dangling from tree from its right side lace. Left lace hangs straight down. Shoe is dark insideAfter Jack clears the woods, he looks right first, beautiful beaches and calm water. As he starts to pan to his left he hears a scream and then sees the crash.He looks around in shock, not sure who to help first.On the beach:Charlie is standing near the engineJin screaming for SunMike screaming for Walt?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comShannonstanding in one place screaming, not Boone's nameMan trapped under wreckage is first to get Jacks help.Jack calls out for 3 people to help him. Locke is one of them.On the count of 3, 3 guys lift and Jack pulls man out. Uses tie as tourniquetJack hears Claire. Runs to help her leaving Locke and another man to drag debris guy away from the engineHe asks her how many months she is pregnant. She answers 8 months.As she says, Jack looks over at Boone trying to administer CPR to RoseAs Locke and another guy are dragging away debris guy, a man walks in front of the engine. Locke tries to warn him but the man can't hear him and consequently gets sucked in causing engine to explode.This is where we have the first sighting of an oddity. What I saw was right before the engine blew, just as the man was sucked in, it comes in from the right of the engine just above it, never touching, turns toward Jack just as first sign of explosion comes. Streaks towards Jack in what appears to be a triangular shape. Speeds towards Jack and just as the engine blows up, it shoot skyward just behind Jack. A lot of people have been saying it may just be a marker to let the actors know when to dive. After seeing the first one and how fast the second one moved just before the explosion. The editors are clever because they mask it in with the flying debris so the first time you watch it; your eyes are drawn to the explosion. It is definitely there and moves at an incredible rate of speed. What is it? Editing mistake or more than that?Jack asks Hurley to help with Claire. He says if contractions are any closer than 3 minutes apart to call out for him.Jack stops Boone from giving Rose CPR. Boone tells Jack his credentials of being a lifeguard. Jack doesn't give his credentials. Boone doesn't question Jack. He just wants to help. Boone offers to get pens for throat hole.Boone eagerly wants to help in any way he can.Jack gives Rose 2 breaths and says ?come on' 4 timesJack looks up and sees the wing about to collapse on top of Hurley and Claire, runs and yells at them to get out of the way. No more sighting of ?sentry' during this explosion.Big chunk of debris lands right behind Charlie. He seems un-phased.Everything blows up in the explosion. Odd silence afterwardsWhen Hurley is on the ground his has his watch halfway on. Bottom part of watch the palm of his handJack leaves Claire with Hurley, takes a break to collect his thoughts. Boone walks up with pens. Couldn't count how many.Jack finds a sewing kit in the first bag he goes through.Runs from wreckage through lightly wooded area, looking back occasionallyIn the jungle:Jack a really nasty wound on his left sideEnter Kate. Jack asks for her help sewing him up. She is the first to know he is a doctor.Kate made the drapes in her kitchenKate seems grossed out at the prospect of doing what Jack is asking her to do.Liquor bottle has black label with a red cap. Is she trying to retrieve the briefcase?Kate tells Jack her nameFirst sound of monster, Walt asks if it was Vincent.At first monster sounds like it is on the right, then straight aheadOrder of turning around: Jack/Kate, Locke, Walt, Boone, Shannon, Sayid, Charlie, Walt again, Mike, Rose, Claire, Hurley, 2 older people (1 male and 1female), and then everyone walks upMonster knocking down trees pretty close to the beach lineMonster goes awayOn the plane, pre-crash:Jack is sitting down looking outside on the left side of the planeStewardess hands him 2 drinks. He drinks one and saves the other. He quickly looks away and eats itGroup sitting around deciding the ?funeral' of the fuselage bodies: Mike, Walt, Shannon, Boone, Charlie, Sayid, and Hurley walks up with the question about how to handle the situation. Bold move on Hurley's partHurley spells ?bodies' ?b-o-d-y-s'. Walt corrects himSayid agrees about somehow getting rid of the bodies,Shannondisagrees. She wants to pass the buck to the ?rescuers'Jack looks to Boone to help take care of theMarshallwhile he is gone. Boone reluctantly accepts. Boone probably wants to help with finding the cockpit.Charlie volunteers himself to goWalking towards the jungle:The away team is Kate, Charlie, and JackCharlie tells Kate he is in a band called DriveshaftCharlie has a ring from his second tour ofFinlandKate's friend Beth loved themCharlie did backing vocals on track three, pays bass.After Jack tells them they have to keep moving, Charlie reaffirms the band is still together. ?In the middle of a comeback'Vincent watches them from the woods off to their right.Locke sitting on the beach, storm heard in the backgroundStorm hits once team reaches the cockpitLocke stays out in the rain while everyone runs for cover, looks elated, and outstretches his arms.Jin refuses a man shelter from the rain. Charlie is presumably in the bathroom at this timeThe pilot wakes up. Jack tells him it's been 16 hours since they crashedPilot tells Jack they were 6 hours into the flight when the radio went out. They turned back and tried to head towardsFiji. Says they are 1000 miles off course and they are being looked for in the wrong placeMonster sounds again. Big shadow passes by the windowJack and Kate both go to windows with glass still in the to try and see out, the pilot goes out of one of the glassless windows after placing transceiver down. Gets snatched by the monsterAlmost looks like the pilot is picked up and dropped 3 or 4 times before he is ripped through the window. Has a watch on his left hand.Lots of blood splattered on the outside cockpit windowsMonster attacks the cockpit forcing it to the ground. Jack grabs the transceiver and then he, Kate, and Charlie runOrder being chased: Kate in front, Jack in the middle and Charlie is lastAs all 3 are being chased, Charlie gets snagged in a root. Jack goes back to help leaving Kate to run aloneKate hides in a ?safety' tree. Screams for Jack once then does Jacks' anti-fear count to 5Later on, Charlie finds Kate. She is so scared she tackles him and asks where Jack is. Charlie doesn't knowKate asks him if he saw the monster, he says no. The rain then stops suddenly.Kate goes back for Jack, challenges Charlie to follow and help her, he does.He takes his hoodie off. He probably wants to get a complete view of the woods.Kate finds the pilot's wings in the mud. She sees a body in the trees in the reflection of the puddle.Jack shows up. When asked if he saw the monster he says ?no' but it was right behind him before he dove into some bushesJack, Charlie, and Kate all look up at what was showing in the reflection of the puddleThe body of the pilot is torn and bloody and lying along 4 or 5 main branches. Some fork out for added support.
