An interesting theory sprouted up a while back regarding the car that was seen in many a flashback. Theory goes that the car is the same in all the flashbacks and many speculated that is was a Dharma spy that was sent to make sure that the survivors ended up on the plane.

The Car
Kate's Flashback, when Tom gets killed: The car crashes into her, hence she must run from the cops because Tom dies as a result.

The Car that hits Michael: Was meant to keep Michael from going to get Walt at that time, he ended up in a wheelchair and undergoing therapy.

This is another of the many controversies that are floating around. Who is Desmond's girl??? And it seems as though any character we are introduced to that is a blond has been targeted as his girl? It will be interesting to see how this plays into the polt.

There are many theories that were floating around stating that the artist who painted the hatch mural was the same as the one who painted the pictures in Tom (Claire's boyfriend) and Michael's apartments. Another possibility is that Tom and Michael did paint their respective pictures, but were influenced by the artist who painted the Hatch Mural.

Although this would be an interesting discovery, I am not sure how this would tie into the plot. It would be another Sydney to LA connection, and possibly the mother waiting for the children in LA could be important, I am not sure how this would evolve.
