Has anyone else started doing this? I noticed it went live only 50 minutes ago...I happened to stumble upon flyoceanicair.com today and when I went to show my husband tonight, the site changed and http://www.find815.com/ was blaring in the background.
I believe I finished all the tasks that have been available until 47 hours from now :)
Ok, so ya, I am playing and it seems like this is gunna get really interesting.
It's got a video then you are supposed to compare two images and find the differences. I found a mole and of course, the eye color is different. But the instructions say when you see a difference click on it, but nothing happens..... so.... I will keep trying.
Lots of things for us to do. If you click on Sam's desk, you can click on his computer and basically operate it. There is a photo of one of the shots from our first video and an email. It shows 99 unread emails, but if you click on Inbox or Sent nothing happens.... yet!

Then you click the words and they are added to a list Sam is making. Sam (our protagonist) lost his love, Sonja, a flight attendant who was onboard flight 815.
As the game begins, Oceanic has given up the search for the plane without finding any trace.
Sam is unhappy as are all the family and friends who had loved ones aboard the flight. Sam suddenly gets a mysterious e-mail from a stranger who claims to be an old friend of Sonja's. In the e-mail is "an old photo" of Sonja.
When you click around on the photo and do various things, hidden clues are revealed. The clues so far are:
Gunda Trench** (This is probably the Sunda Trench in the Indian Ocean near Sri Lanka and Bali)
Black Rock
Tell no one
Dire Consequences
Christiane I
Maxwell Group (there is a website but it's not active yet.)
I have no idea how to decipher, but when I clicked on the link it wanted me to download Korean text? May not even be associated but I have learned in LOST everything eventually connects.

And thank you back_gammon, buy luckily I already finished all the stuff at FIND815.com, I only listed 815.com because at another board I visit regarding this game, there was a code just like that on the origianl introduction page to flyoceanicair.com which another player had deciphered. It just seemed a bit too coincidental. But thanks for being so helpful...

IMO this 'game' is awesome! I hope this will be a new version of The Lost Experience ! I'm on third stage, but now I must wait 25 hours for next one.I hope I spend with that game many evenings.

I used to post over on the LOST boards over a year ago. Maybe some of you might remember me.
So I started thinking, (I now have a nose bleed that wont stop and a major headache ) flight 815 went down Sept 22nd 2004, the survivors have been on the Island for about 90 days, Dec 20th and it's getting close to the time of the time of the tsunami.
Do you think the writers/producers are thinking of weaving in the real world event into the lost story? Maybe saying that something on the Island or connected in some form or other to the Island may have been the cause?
Just an idea that came to me that I thought I'd share. What do you guys think?

What I found interesting is the phone number in the press release.

Now most people heard the standard message that gave us the site to go through. But if you call the number and use it like Voice mail. You can enter a mail box and password.
The way I found this was I pressed 0 at the during the first message. It will say something else, just wait it takes a while. Then it will tell you for more information Press *. Just keep playing you will eventually hear other commands are... Login press 81....
You can also just press 81 at the start of the message right when you call in.
Now, a normal voice mail system will either use the full 10 digits of the number, 7 digit number or last 4 digit of the number for the mail box number.
I've played with it, have not figured out the password, but almost every mail box # I enter seems to get accepted. I'm not sure why they would put something like this into what really only needed to be a passive message played to callers. Maybe there is nothing here but thought I would pass it on.

I hope they add some of the other characters that have died like Charlie and Libby and some of the other lesser known characters like Rose, Bernard and Scott(or Steve, I forget what one is dead). It would just make his search seem more real. Maybe include the lead character from the LOST Video Game coming out this year.

When you get to sams desk you can only click on the laptop, notebook and cell phone. I thinkk later on you'll be able to click on the video camera. that's all that I can remember.

You have to zoom in very far in to see the words. Center the Mole, Eyes and Scar on forehead and click on the zoom in icon about 10 times. That should get you what you're looking for.

I was merely wondering if everyone saw the same list, because I just find it extra creepy that I live in Ames, IA... even though "Kate Austen" is supposedly Iowa... so is the list as follows?

This list of cities is indeed highly suspicious! A major international carrier (no offense) does NOT fly from Ames IA, Knoxville TN, and especially not Tustin, CA, where there is no international airport.
Clearly all of those cities are tied to characters.

Assume you've figured out that you went to the wrong site? The correct URL is the-maxwell-group.com. I made the same mistake the first time.

So at 9pm EST something new will be on the Find815 website. Presumeably it will be more to chapter 1 since the "my progress" tab still says there are some things for chapter 1 that are unreleased. I would guess they'll start a new chapter every week with the final chapter being the week or even the day of the season premiere.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you're registered and logged in on the find 815 site then all your clue finds will be recorded so it shouldn't matter whether you refresh or log out at the end of the session. Was that your question?

It was at the below address, but now when I put the address in it just takes me to the ABC homepage. There doesn't seem to be any links on the ABC Lost page to Find815 either. Maybe they'll be putting the stuff on later this week. As of yet, that password from the game doesn't come in use.

What was the email addresses you used to contact the senders with no subject? All I see is "jmanricks" and "killent". There is no @hotmail or @google or anyother e-mail address shown.

I was just watching season 3 on DVD and saw when they first found that chick that came from the helicopter and she said that they found the plane and all people were dead. So how is there NOW a press release from Oceanic saying they are calling off the search. That is the only thing I do not understand.

This list of cities is indeed highly suspicious! A major international carrier (no offense) does NOT fly from Ames IA, Knoxville TN, and especially not Tustin, CA, where there is no international airport.
Clearly all of those cities are tied to characters.

There are other ties I'm missing, as these are only off the top of my head.
You aren't the only one of us in Ames a little surprised by this. We even have a billboard here for Oceanic Air as well (on Duff Ave for other Ames residents).

I'd say that the story/game of Find 815 takes place back in 2004 before the plane is actually found. I'm pretty sure the story we're watching is going to lead to us finding 815. Which will bring us right up to the season premiere. It might actually have something to do with Penny being involved with the search and with the Brazilians in the Arctic.
The website/memo stating their restarting flights is actually present day. Its got to be hard for them to do cool interactive stuff like this when the real Lost story probably ends in 2005. That's the problem of making a show that doesn't run in real time.

Indeed, you are correct. In addition, if you look at the degree markings around the compass. You'll see a discrepancy there too. Normally, they go by 30 degree segments (30 * 12 = 360), and in this case, most of them do. However, where there should be a 60 degree marking, it instead says what looks to be 75 degrees. I had that problem, too. I just had to click on the 4 clues again and retype matthew. Then everything was set as done. (Assuming you checked the cell phone.)

When you call the 888 number, be patient. It rang about ten times before the message played. I wonder if that was also overwhelmed
Ok. Here's two things I noticed when doing the room search for episode 1.
1. The HD (high definition) symbol on a box in the closet? Nothing to do with the story I guess, just thought I'd point it out.
2. Sense we are looking around in Sam and Sonjas Bedroom with a flash light, does this mean that we are playingfrom the point of view of someone who has broken in?
