So, Sun's baby is Jin's...I don't think that anybody who has ever been pregnant doubted it...the timing would have been off for it to have been the other guy. Note: Juliet said that the sperm count for men on the island was increased to 5 times higher than average......so it would seem that pregnancy would be a bit easier to acheive for anyone having sex.
We get a bit more insight into the relationship between Jin and Sun....she was able to overlook Jin's "work" with her father because she put him in that position. The money that she took to spare Jin the shame of knowing that his mother was a whore became Jin's debt to Mr Paik.
Juliet is becoming much more complex. I want to believe that she will not hurt any of our survivors and that she is only trying to fulfill her obligations to Ben just enough to get him to let her go home. We know that she's there on behalf of Ben...we saw them going over the plan. This week we saw her leaving notes for Ben concerning Sun and Kate (and any other possible mothers among the camp) but we also heard her add "I hate you" to the end of her report (but not recorded for Ben). Knowing the tidbit about the sperm counts and the fact that Kate and Sawyer did make love..I suspect that we will find out that Kate is expecting too. I wondered at this point if the reason that they keep refering to the survivors by last name only is to help to stay detatched from them so as to make it easier to think of them as research rather than people.
Patches (Mikhail) is alive! Where is he living now that Locke blew up his shack? It was mentioned that they were an 8 hour hike back to the beach camp, and Patches was right there when the flair went off (if this helps anyone keeping maps) I sensed a theme this episode with Jin and Juliet being trapped into doing things that they did not want to do, Patches strikes me as another person that really does not want to be there, or at least does not want to be part of Ben's group, but has been forced into servitude in some way. Maybe this is reinforced by the fact that he still wears the Dharma jumpsuits rather than regular clothes.....but we may come across another reason for that later.
Naomi (I think that is her name) will live, but who is she? We assume that she is part of whatever we saw going on with Penny's friends at the end of last season. She did have a picture of Desmond and Penny in her book, and said his name in her delerium.....but not much else. We know that she speaks several languages, and she was able to give a little tidbit before the screen went black........everyone thinks that there are no survivors of 815. I want to think that this was some sort of coverup perpetrated by whomever is above Ben's group, in order to keep anyone from looking for them. But this would beg to question just who did they find on the plane that was supposed to be our survivors? Wouldn't those people be missed? How would you fake a whole plane, and passengers, without anyone noticing? One quick trip to the jungle to show her the cockpit would set her straight. NO, I will not relent to the purgatory threads, they are not all dead. Anyway, if she is who we think she is, then she was there only to rescue Desmond. We got a little more info on that medical station, it was where they took the expectant mothers and waited for them to die. This still does not explain why all of the nursery decorations and OB/GYN equipment was hidden after Claire left...I suppose they will come back around to it, if it's important.http://community.livejournal.com/pondering_lost/111507.html#cutid1
