Ben has a room full of monitors just like what was in the Pearl station. we are definatly supposed to believe that Ben and Juliet have been involved in the past...I also got the feeling in the same scene that Juliet is among those that make the decisions. Sun's father knew about the affair between Sun and Jae....I found this odd considering what he went through (like the guy that spoke to Jin at the airport) to make sure that she didn't run away there seems to be a real split among the others...those in power that have control, and those that work for them in hard labor. I was left wondering what they were building, they were prepping the ground for something that required not only level ground without stones, but tamping as well. Those on the boat find the pier that Mike and Walt were released from....the sign on the dock reads "Pala Ferry"..."ferry" inferes that it's one end of ashuttle to somewhere Alex told Kate that she was not supposed to be in the cage.......something must have caused the plan to change Before they left on the plane, Sun did know what Jin did for her father. We once again have an other telling one of the survivors that they are not the enemy...but threaten that they will be if they attack. We find out after Sawyer confesses his ploy to test the guards, that Ben not only can see what is going on in his monitor room, but can hear as well. We find out that Ben is Benjiman Linus and has been on the island his whole life, but does not answer as to why he would stay there if he had the choice to leave....only responded with "yeah, why would we?" Ben promises jack that if coooperates, he will be sent home "just like Mike and Walt" and that they did have contact with the outside world. Ben has a tape of the game...this could have been dropped just like the food in order to keep them current, or it would mean that they also have means to watch TV broadcasts...not sure. If they have contact and are able to leave, and can even watch current TV...then that means they have a real purpose for staying there..............but if it was just a tape meant to keep them up to date, then they could be trapped or afraid to leave since they have been there their whole lives...but if Ben was telling the truth that he has always been there, then that would mean that his parents were there as well and I would like to know who they were and why they were there since I think that he is a little old to have been a child of the original hippy-scientist commune group that started Dharma. We are also left to wonder if all of those that we know of having been captured but still not seen have also been sent away like Mike and Walt....and if they were actually sent home, or just to the other end of the ferry. We still do not know where the food and supplies are coming from, but someone knows they are there, and they are being kept well stocked and in touch......could the same folks that are sending supplies be on the other end of the ferry and could they also be the help that Ben promised Mike he would find?http://community.livejournal.com/pondering_lost/104965.html#cutid1
