had a few sparks happen while chatting with another "Lostie" and I wanted to write them down before they were forgotten.OK, everybody knows I don't like Charlie, and there are quite a few things about him that are still bugging me. Well I have drawn some comparisons, that although they can't all be fleshed out and answered yet, are very compelling.Goodwin said that Nathan was not on the list of those to be taken.Charlie was rather disbelieving when he said that all they wanted was Claire.Goodwin said that Nathan was "not a good person" and killed him before he could be tortured for answersCharlie said that Ethan was "the bad man" and killed him before he could be tortured for answers. The list that Ana found had the names and descriptions of everyone to take.Ethan knew Charlie's name, yet he was not one to be taken. The ones that were not meant to be taken (out of the tailies) were pretty much untouched by the barefooters, they were just left there to wonder what was going on.Charlie was not left behind...and they actually took the time to hang him. When Ethan confronted Charlie, he said that he would kill one of them everyday until Claire was brought to him. Why would Ethan use the threat of killing the middies that Charlie barely knows? What if the threat was aimed at another group that Charlie does know? Ethan was rather far too personal with Charlie at that time to have only just known of him.Scott/Steve was a brutal murder. Beaten to a pulp and many broken bones. This was not the act of one man, more like a group. It would have either had to have been a warning/message....or have been the act of someone that knew and hated him at the time of the murder. Or maybe not even a murder at all (like the pilot)Charlie, who should know better than anyone else in the group, was the loudest voice to claim that there were no others on the island. The situation in the stories of Charlie/Ethan/Claire/others is far too much like the story of Goodwin/Nathan/Ana/others for it to go unnoticed.http://www.livejournal.com/community/pondering_lost/92941.html#cutidcheck link fororiginal content and commentsmore comments can be found here: http://www.livejournal.com/community/pondering_lost/93489.html
