An old topic, I know, but I was thinking about it again today......and still find it interesting that Kate gave Jack her real name right away in the beginning. Sure, they had crashed on an island and didn't know if they'd ever be rescued, but that early they really *didn't* know if they'd be rescued. She was still secretive about/around poor dying Marshall the marshal. When the raft was nearing sail time she was back to her old ways and anxious to get out of there so no one would know about her. So we can't really say she was done running, or that she'd made some sort of peace with things.Just an early writing oversight? Perhaps. But still interesting.
