I did not know. To clarify a question above, how did Sam know that Kate would kill Wayne if she found out her step-dad was really her father? Now, who was Sawyer talking to? It comes up soon. I will say this, that Sawyer, in many ways, doesn't know who he was talking to in that moment! The moment being not the one in the Swan but the moment he is (re)living in his mind?

Sam didn't know, but he recognized that Kate had the ability to kill for the things that she believed in. More importantly, to murder. You get more on Kate and Wayne later, so don't feel you have all of the information yet, but Blue, think of something that you cherish. That thing is damaged or destroyed, and justice seems unattainable. What's in your heart? Sam knew that Kate was capable of deadly things under certain conditions.

I don't know. I would like to think I could at least try to forgive. A long, hard road that must be traveled everyday. Perhaps I wouldn't chose murder, but it would probably be in my thoughts. A clear character-defining moment. Once we learn Sarah's fate, will we see clear comparisons and contrasts between Jack's choices and Kate's choices? Is this being laid out now?

Blue, Jack's failures come in a different way. His culpability is in how he relates, not how he acts. The next FB on him gives you a few examples of that.
