You will not get "THE FINAL ANSWER" until the final show, and that's only if there is warning when it runs it's course. The producers have actually anticipated that, by the way, that the plug may get pulled unexpectedly --- for ratings, cost, or talent concessions --- so they have taken steps to ensure you may get an abrupt, but total final resolution. Shots and footage have been done already and are in the can to be used if that is ever necessary. There have been so many shows with evolving mysteries that were cancelled with short notice, and these producers have learned from the Twin Peaks disasters. It won't be as satisfying as seeing the island unfold over several seasons with the full realizations of these characters, the back history of the island, and the new unfolding adventures, but it would get the job done. Anyway, the only answer that will wait until the last show is "What is the island?". You will be given clues on a very consistent basis, but you may not realize at the first viewing that you are seeing a clue. You have already noticed that many of the actions and things in the first half of the season are now making a little more sense, right? Well that is how it's going to be. The whole show is an easter egg! Watch and rewatch. Question everything! Nothing is there without a purpose, so go back. Watch the physical clues, the man made things, the actions of characters, the hints that they have given you about why they are doing certain things on the island, so on. It IS all going some place. So what will you get solved? The incidental mysteries. Who's Danielle? Who's Ethan? Why did THEY only want Claire? Which one of them is a bridge builder? Who put Adam and Eve in the cave? Exactly how many stations can you get on the Black Rock Tower? Can you hear me NOW? How could Danielle change the Tower transmission but the Black Rock Others haven't changed it in 15 1/2 years? If Danielle and her crew landed on the rocks after coming to the island to check out the weird number transmission that they heard, why haven't more people come to check out Danielle's distress call? Why is there no harbor on this undeserted deserted island? What is the Black Rock? Now that we know there are more people on this island than Paris has numbers in her sidekick, how come no one's built an actual building? Of course, there was the one that was visible beyond Michael and Jin as Sun and Kate talked this last week, but I mean one that a character on the island built? All these people, all this technology, and no one managed to wave down a plane before this? Or did they (wink)? And the hatch. The hatch is directly related to the end question, so what you will get is another question when the first part gets answered. Don't get frustrated. This is fun, remember? And what happens when these characters start to die? Well, new characters of course! If you haven't realized that there have been several crash landings and sinkings by now, wake up and smell Locke's coffee. And since people are often good instead of bad, many of them will be wandering into camp looking for new friends. Influences? From Swiss Family Robinson to Red VS Blue. It's all there, and remember, while they are making you look at the right hand, something else is being done with the left. Who is Danielle hiding from? Whom is she hunting (and yes, girl is hunting)? Why the Territoire Fonce? Why not move to the area on the map called "Sunny Hills"? Or "Easy Eats"? Why is she there? Where's that cable go? Either end? And why does it enter the ground there? Who was Rousseau? How are things going for any other survivors of Flight 815? And what exactly does Rose do in between appearances? Why has no one dug a toilet yet? If Michael was a construction guy, and architect wannabe, why can't he dig a one-seater? But we digress. Where does Vincent disappear to? Where does Boone disappear to? What is Locke looking for? What would you need a bridge for? And if you were the only person on the island, why would you be hiding near it? Why do they whisper? Wait. Don't go to fast over that one. Why do they whisper? I know you feel that you have examined that one, but you aren't done. Stop chasing the physical for a minute. Why do they whisper? It's pretty obvious that even at a whisper, the survivors are hearing you, but they don't run away and they don't stop. Why do they whisper? Could Ethan hear them? What about the travel routes. Anything there? How is Ethan traipsing over the island, and WHAT CLUES WERE YOU GIVEN in ATBCHDI? Yes, you were. Watch again. The monster. Hmmm. Leaving that one alone. They gave you a lot of clues on that one, and you really don't need me to give you more. Go back and watch it's appearances. You'll see what I mean. Walt? Yeah, Walt. I am going to tell you this. Make a list of the Walt-weird scenes. The angle you have on him at the moment is deceiving. Go back with fresh eyes. Is he calling things to him? Is he manipulating the roll of the die? Just go back. Watch the kid, the circumstances, the outcomes. Are you sure you saw what you think you saw? I am planting that suspicion for a reason. I'm not saying that things aren't happening, I'm just saying watch again. And what secret did Locke tell Walt? If you are very ambitious, use Sayid's maps to ascertain where they are, where Danielle is, if you look closely at the screen caps, you will notice some things that might prove helpful. And keep talking. Lay it all out. Learn the island better than Locke, because when the show comes back from hiatus, this plane is going down. And honey, you think you've seen it all? You ain't see nothin' yet.
