If Ben really believes that either Locke or Sawyer brought Cooper to the island, then I think that he is also being played. Who has the power to play Ben into thinking that there is some magical thing that brings things to the island. The only one who can do that I can come up with is Jacob. Here's what I think happened. The others (Mikhail in particular) sent off a list of the survivors of Flight 815 to their stateside compatriots. Along with a description that said that Locke can now walk. Jacob arranged for the abduction and delivery of Cooper as a barganing chip knowing that it was a way to keep the mystical properties of the island going. Speaking of mystical ilusion of the island let me change tactics here for a second: They already showed in Rose's FB that certain parts of the world have healing properties because of magnetic fields. Where Rose went did not have the right kind of properties to help her, but Lost island has an established magnetic presence and also healing properties. Back to Ben - I think that he has been led all his life to think that there are mystical things going on - fostered by Jacob as he is doing with all of his disciples.-Brax
