Here's what I think happened. The original airing, Boone said "There were no survivors of Oceanic Flight 815", but some people thought they heard "No, we're the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815!!!" and on 1 April, 2005, the audio was changed to the latter and in the re-airing of the episode, it was the new audio. I think the producers were going to introduce the concept of someone orchestrating the plane crash in order to keep the outside world from attempting a rescue, way back in 2005... But, because of the debate (the fact that it was such a big deal on the boards), they introduced a new concept - The Taillies - and they put the concept of the cover-up on hold until they could re-introduce it with Naomi... The "either" vs. "neither" debate is the great debate of 2007... I won't mention what the "great debate of 2006" was as it is still hotly contested and not Lost related. I'm just hoping that the producers don't figure out a way for Jack to be either a friend or family to whoever is in the casket - we might get another Ana-Lucia out of the storyline... -Brax
