After starting a thread on the ABC boards about characters not dying based on people's perception of their importance - I got into a discussion about how Claire can't die because Aaron would die as well..... I don't buy that arguement and here's why.I remember reading about a plant substitue for breast milk in the Flysail and Claire story by Ada.... So, after a little research, here's what I found athttp://www.what-means.com/encyclopedia/PoiPart of what they say is:Poi has been used as amilksubstitute for babies born with anallergyto dairy products, because of its nutritional value.So, in my opinion,they have an option to kill off Claire (not that I want that to happen), espesically since Taro (the plant that poi is produced from) is readily available on the Hawaiian islands (that region of the ocean our survivors should be in)... So, if for some reason Claire starts having problems breast feeding and they turn to poi (with Sun's help of course), then look out Claire.... Also, if they suddenly add Taro (not the cards, the plant) to their diet, then we know that Claire is doomed... Otherwise, she is probably pretty safe..As far as poi being pasty, just add water, and pasty becomes a yummy milk substitute - well, I don't know how yummy, but I've tried some pretty nasty tasting baby food in my day - so I know as long as it's nutritious it doesn't have to be delicious for a baby to survive on it...
